Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople on various tasks.
- Perform general labor duties, including site cleanup, debris removal, and organization of materials.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Help with the pouring and spreading of concrete, mixing mortar, and other related tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Support the team in ensuring projects stay on schedule and within quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Almaden Valley, San Jose area.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and team communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction, landscaping, or physically demanding labor role.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
