Job Description

Ipsos Switzerland is seeking dedicated Field Enumerators (Inquiridores de Campo) to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This is a crucial role where you will be the face of our research, directly engaging with diverse communities across Switzerland. As a Field Enumerator, you will be responsible for collecting high-quality data through face-to-face interviews, surveys, and observations, contributing to vital social, market, and public opinion research projects. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in various field settings. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face interviews and administer surveys to respondents in designated areas, strictly adhering to research protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Accurately record and document all collected data using provided tools (e.g., tablets, questionnaires).
  • Ensure the quality, completeness, and consistency of collected data.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with respondents, building rapport and trust while maintaining neutrality.
  • Navigate assigned field locations efficiently and safely.
  • Attend all required training sessions and team meetings.
  • Report daily progress, challenges, and any unusual observations to the Field Supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security at all times.
  • Adhere to project timelines and deliverables.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
  • Fluency in at least one official Swiss language (German, French, or Italian).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with digital data collection tools (e.g., tablets, smartphones).
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to interact respectfully with diverse populations.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to varying field conditions.
  • Right to work in Switzerland.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in field enumeration, data collection, market research, or social surveys.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to Swiss communities, including Portuguese, is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the local geography and social dynamics of various Swiss regions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, based on project needs.
  • Experience with CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) software.
