As a Retail Support Manager, you will be a key player in supporting the Store Manager, overseeing various aspects of store operations from inventory management and visual merchandising to associate training and customer service protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Drive sales performance through effective merchandising, stock management, and strategic promotional execution.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of retail associates, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered, handling customer feedback and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and implement robust loss prevention strategies to minimize shrink and maximize product availability.
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create an inviting and exciting 'treasure hunt' shopping environment.
  • Conduct regular store audits and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improve overall store performance.
  • Support with scheduling, payroll administration, and other general administrative tasks as required by the Store Manager.
  • Uphold company values and promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and teamwork across all levels of the store operation.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in retail management, preferably within an outlet, department store, or high-volume retail environment.
  • Proven track record of leading, developing, and motivating large teams to achieve sales and operational targets.
  • Strong understanding of retail Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), inventory management, and effective loss prevention techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment with varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in retail Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a multi-brand or off-price retail model.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and build strong team morale, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Proficiency in visual merchandising techniques and store layout optimization to enhance customer experience.
