Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Wuse 2, Abuja. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Allocate project resources effectively and manage third-party contractors and vendors.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to established schedules and budgets.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and successes.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external review.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices for future initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years (60 months) of progressive experience in project management, with a significant portion in the oil and gas or energy sector.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with budgets exceeding NGN 100 million.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, Engineering Management).
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian oil and gas regulations and industry standards.
