In this pivotal role, you will serve as the visual ambassador for our diverse portfolio of products within various retail environments. Your primary mission will be to ensure that GraceKennedy brands are impeccably displayed, consistently stocked, and strategically positioned to attract customers and drive sales. The ability to build strong relationships with store managers and staff will be essential, as you will serve as a key point of contact for merchandising queries and initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute merchandising strategies and planograms at retail locations to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Ensure timely and accurate stocking of products, maintaining optimal shelf levels and preventing out-of-stock situations.
  • Set up, maintain, and refresh promotional displays, ensuring they are attractive, compliant with brand standards, and current.
  • Monitor product freshness, rotation (FIFO), and expiration dates, removing and reporting any non-compliant items.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, providing accurate stock level reports and identifying discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with store managers and retail staff.
  • Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor activities and customer feedback, to the sales team.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of product displays and assigned shelf areas.
  • Travel between various retail outlets within the assigned territory as required.
  • Assist with new product launches and marketing campaigns by ensuring timely and effective display execution.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in merchandising, retail, or a similar field.
  • Proven ability to set up and maintain effective product displays.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move products, and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid General Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Experience working with consumer goods or food and beverage products.
  • Knowledge of the retail landscape in Westmoreland Parish.
