Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment (e.g., fillers, labelers, pasteurizers, conveyors, pumps, motors).
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems and perform necessary repairs quickly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Execute corrective maintenance activities, including component replacement, calibration, and adjustment.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Collaborate with production operators and engineers to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance practices and equipment uptime.
  • Perform general welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required for repairs.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, motor controls, and PLC basics.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (schematics, blueprints, manuals).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
