Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Laundry Attendant to join our dynamic hotel service team at Golden Tulip Amuwo Odofin Lagos. You will operate various laundry equipment, ensuring their proper use and maintenance, and diligently sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron items according to established procedures and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron all hotel linen, including bedsheets, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry, following established hotel standards and procedures.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and irons safely and efficiently.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, and report any issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the laundry department.
- Handle guest laundry requests with care and discretion, ensuring timely delivery and accurate record-keeping.
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of the laundry area and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in training sessions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with various laundry equipment and cleaning agents.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy laundry bags.
