Job Description
Are you meticulous, reliable, and take pride in a job well done? National Express West Midlands is seeking a dedicated Bus Cleaner to join our busy transport depot team in Kitts Green, Birmingham. This is a crucial role within our operations, ensuring that our fleet of buses not only looks its best but also provides a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for our passengers every single day.
In this on-site position, you will be responsible for the thorough cleaning and presentation of our buses, both inside and out. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough interior cleaning of buses, including vacuuming/sweeping floors, wiping down seats, sanitising grab rails and poles, and cleaning windows.
- Empty waste bins and ensure all litter is removed from the vehicle.
- Clean and sanitise all high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and maintain public health standards.
- Carry out exterior cleaning of buses using appropriate washing equipment and solutions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cleaning equipment and storage areas within the depot.
- Report any damages, graffiti, or maintenance issues observed during cleaning to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
- Work efficiently and independently to ensure buses are ready for service on schedule.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment within the depot.

- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
