As a Residential Nanny, you will live with the family and be responsible for all aspects of the children’s daily care, growth, and development. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and attentive supervision for children in a residential setting.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, and outdoor excursions.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, adhering to any dietary requirements.
  • Manage daily routines including waking, feeding, bathing, dressing, and putting children to bed.
  • Assist with homework and school projects, ensuring academic support.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the children, including tidying play areas and children's rooms.
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and manage minor illnesses.
  • Communicate regularly and openly with parents about children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
  • Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extra-curricular activities as needed.
  • Foster good manners, respect, and social skills.
  • Perform light household duties related to the children, such as laundry and organizing toys.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Nanny or Childcare Provider.
  • Proven ability to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
  • Strong understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
  • Proficiency in basic meal preparation for children.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively (First Aid/CPR certification preferred).
  • High level of patience, creativity, and adaptability.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Previous experience in a residential or live-in nanny role.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo) in addition to English.
