Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and attentive supervision for children in a residential setting.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, and outdoor excursions.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, adhering to any dietary requirements.
- Manage daily routines including waking, feeding, bathing, dressing, and putting children to bed.
- Assist with homework and school projects, ensuring academic support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the children, including tidying play areas and children's rooms.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and manage minor illnesses.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents about children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extra-curricular activities as needed.
- Foster good manners, respect, and social skills.
- Perform light household duties related to the children, such as laundry and organizing toys.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Nanny or Childcare Provider.
- Proven ability to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
- Strong understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Proficiency in basic meal preparation for children.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively (First Aid/CPR certification preferred).
- High level of patience, creativity, and adaptability.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a residential or live-in nanny role.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo) in addition to English.
