You will be responsible for conducting routine patrols, monitoring designated areas, and reporting any security breaches or concerns. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated areas to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly to any alerts or incidents.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities, unauthorized persons, or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and daily activity records.
- Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, residents, and staff with inquiries and directions.
- Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations consistently and fairly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and local authorities when necessary.
- Ensure all equipment and premises are secure at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Knowledge of local security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Ability to adapt to various situations and remain calm under pressure.
