Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Remote Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across various departments. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Participate in the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the finance function.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to non-finance audiences.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting the healthcare finance landscape.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial planning, or corporate finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling, macros).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work setting.
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
- Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
- CPA or CFA certification.
