Lam Research is seeking a diligent On-site Storekeeper to join our operations team in Fremont, California. In this critical role, you will be the cornerstone of our inventory management, ensuring the seamless flow of materials essential for our cutting-edge manufacturing processes and research activities. As an On-site Storekeeper, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of incoming and outgoing inventory, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and availability of vital components. Your day-to-day will involve meticulously receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing a wide array of materials, from small components to larger equipment, all while adhering to strict quality and safety protocols. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and identifying discrepancies to ensure real-time accuracy within our inventory systems. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials, parts, and supplies, verifying against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and completeness.
- Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling, organization, and accessibility.
- Issue materials, components, and tools to internal departments and production lines based on requisitions and work orders.
- Maintain meticulous inventory records using an inventory management system (ERP/WMS), ensuring data accuracy for all stock movements.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile stock levels and identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, engineering, and quality control teams to support operational needs and resolve material-related issues.
- Identify and report damaged, defective, or expired materials.
- Assist in optimizing storage layouts and material flow to improve efficiency.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory control role.
- Proven ability to accurately receive, store, and issue materials.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software (ERP/WMS) and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Experience in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
