Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain commercial washing, drying, and folding equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident personal clothing and facility linens according to established procedures.
- Ensure all laundry items are handled with care, paying attention to specific washing instructions and resident preferences.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the laundry room area.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Manage laundry supplies, including detergents and other cleaning agents, and report low stock.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control policies.
- Respect resident privacy and confidentiality regarding personal belongings.
- Assist with other general duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the facility's operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of laundry equipment operation or willingness to learn.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull laundry carts and stand for extended periods.
