We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated team in Ozuoba, Port Harcourt. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using various testing devices and tools.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures according to blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of electrical assets.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes (e.g., Nigerian Electrical Safety Standards) and company safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of electrical parts.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and project managers to coordinate electrical work with other trades.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior electricians or apprentices when required.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices on site.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and system failures.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Ability to use a variety of electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, insulation testers).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade test certificate (e.g., Trade Test I, II, III) in Electrical Installation.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Specific certifications in industrial electrical controls or automation.
  • Experience with generators, industrial motors, and control panels.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of energy management systems.
