Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation and execution of daily menus for hotel restaurants, room service, and catered events.
- Prepare a variety of dishes including appetizers, main courses, desserts, and special dietary requests, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
- Oversee and manage specific kitchen sections or stations as assigned, ensuring efficient workflow and output.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all food preparation and storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize food waste.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and operated safely.
- Contribute to menu development and innovation, suggesting new recipes and presentation techniques.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests related to food quality with professionalism and efficiency.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute to a positive and productive kitchen culture.
