Job Description

We are actively seeking dedicated and efficient Packaging Staff to join our dynamic production unit in Jikwoyi, Abuja. As a Packaging Staff member, you will play a crucial role in the final stage of our manufacturing process, ensuring our high-quality plastic products are packaged securely, accurately, and ready for distribution. This is an on-site, full-time position that requires meticulous attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. You will be an integral part of our factory support team, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our production line. Your primary responsibilities will involve handling, inspecting, and preparing finished goods for shipment, working closely with production supervisors and other team members. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the packaging of finished plastic products according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Inspect products for defects or damage before packaging, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Label and mark packages accurately with product information, batch numbers, and shipping details.
  • Prepare packages for loading by stacking, wrapping, and palletizing as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting and tracking packaged goods.
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials and finished products.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 25 kg regularly.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise packaging tasks.

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and counting products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience of at least 1 year in a manufacturing or production environment, especially in packaging.
  • Familiarity with operating basic packaging machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of general warehouse and logistics procedures.
  • SSCE/GCE/NECO or an equivalent secondary school qualification.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
