Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Operate dishwashers and hand wash kitchen items thoroughly, ensuring they are properly dried and stored.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming deliveries, ensuring proper storage and rotation of stock.
- Assist with waste management, including sorting refuse and ensuring proper disposal.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Support the culinary team with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
