Key Responsibilities
- Perform engaging DJ sets for various events, including club nights, private parties, and special functions.
- Curate diverse music selections tailored to the event's theme and audience demographics, maintaining an up-to-date music library.
- Operate and maintain sound equipment, ensuring optimal audio quality and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Engage with the audience, responding to requests and maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the hotel's events and marketing teams to plan and promote entertainment schedules.
- Arrive punctually for all scheduled performances and prepare the setup in advance.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to noise levels and guest relations.
- Continuously research and incorporate new music trends and genres into sets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional DJ in a club or entertainment venue setting (minimum 2.5 years)
- Extensive knowledge across multiple music genres (e.g., Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, EDM)
- Proficiency in operating professional DJ equipment and software (e.g., Pioneer CDJs, Serato DJ, Traktor)
- Excellent crowd-reading and interaction skills
- Strong technical aptitude for sound engineering and equipment setup
- Reliability, professionalism, and a high level of energy
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Audio Engineering or Music Production
- Experience with live sound mixing and microphone operation
- Ability to provide own basic DJ equipment (though hotel equipment is available)
