CEVA Logistics is seeking a dedicated and professional Translator to join our team in Boma, Kongo-Central Province. Key Responsibilities
- Translate a variety of documents from English to French and French to English, including technical reports, legal documents, contracts, operational manuals, marketing materials, and internal communications.
- Ensure translated content accurately conveys the original meaning, tone, and context, while maintaining linguistic style, grammar, and punctuation.
- Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure high quality, accuracy, and adherence to specific terminology and brand guidelines.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, or teleconferences as required, facilitating effective cross-cultural communication.
- Manage translation projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination with various departments.
- Develop and maintain translation memories, glossaries, and terminology databases to ensure consistency across all translated content.
- Research technical and industry-specific terminology to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance in translations related to logistics and supply chain.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in English and French (both written and spoken)
- Proven experience as a professional translator, preferably within a corporate or logistics environment
- Exceptional grammatical, spelling, and punctuation skills in both languages
- Proficiency with translation software (CAT tools) and terminology management systems (e.g., Trados, MemoQ)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate translations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field
- Certification from a recognized translation association (e.g., ATA, ITI)
- Experience with technical translation, particularly in the logistics, supply chain, or maritime industries
