The Texarkana Regional Arts & Humanities Council (TRAHC) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly experienced Concert Promoter – Live Event Organizer to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role is responsible for the end-to-end planning, promotion, and execution of a diverse range of live music concerts, theatrical performances, and other special events hosted primarily at the historic Perot Theatre and various TRAHC venues. From conceptualizing innovative event themes and securing top-tier talent to meticulously managing budgets, coordinating intricate logistics, and aggressively driving ticket sales, you will be the driving force behind many of Texarkana’s most anticipated cultural happenings. You will work closely with artists, artist agents, vendors, marketing teams, and crucial community partners to ensure each event is not only financially successful but also deeply resonant with our diverse audience. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute a comprehensive calendar of concerts, live performances, and special events aligned with TRAHC's mission and strategic goals.
  • Identify, negotiate with, and book diverse artistic talent, including musicians, bands, comedians, and performance groups.
  • Manage all event logistics from conception to completion, including venue setup, technical requirements (sound, lighting, staging), security, ticketing operations, and artist hospitality.
  • Create, monitor, and manage detailed event budgets, ensuring financial viability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to organizational goals.
  • Collaborate extensively with the marketing and communications team to develop and implement robust promotional strategies, including digital campaigns, traditional media, social media, and targeted community outreach, to maximize ticket sales and audience engagement.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with artists, artist agents, managers, vendors, sponsors, and key community partners.
  • Oversee on-site event management, ensuring smooth operations, proactive problem-solving, and delivering an exceptional experience for artists, staff, and attendees.
  • Conduct thorough post-event analysis, including financial reconciliation, gathering attendee feedback, and evaluating performance metrics, to inform future programming decisions.
  • Ensure all events comply with relevant safety regulations, licensing requirements, contractual obligations, and organizational policies.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise event staff and volunteers as needed to support event execution.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in live event production, concert promotion, venue management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the entertainment industry, including talent buying, contract negotiation, and tour management processes.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, forecast, and manage event budgets effectively.
  • Proficiency in marketing and promotional strategies tailored for live events, including digital marketing, social media advertising, and public relations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketmaster, Eventbrite) and event management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Communications, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established network of contacts within the music and entertainment industry (agents, managers, artists).
  • Experience working within a non-profit arts or cultural organization.
  • Knowledge of technical production aspects (sound engineering, lighting design, staging requirements).
  • Familiarity with the Texarkana community and regional cultural landscape.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
