Key Responsibilities
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling simple menu items as per standardized recipes.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are kept clean, tidy, and sanitized at all times, adhering to strict health and safety regulations.
- Wash and properly store all kitchen utensils, dishware, and cooking equipment.
- Receive and organize kitchen supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing waste.
- Monitor food freshness and quality, reporting any issues to the kitchen supervisor immediately.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a fast and efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately and regularly.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and wear appropriate uniform at all times.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or manager.
