Job Description

De Edge Resort is seeking a talented and passionate Bartender to join our dynamic Bar/Service team in Rumuodara, Port Harcourt. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for our guests, expertly preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, from classic cocktails to bespoke creations. You’ll be the heart of our bar, interacting with patrons, recommending drinks, and ensuring every order is executed with precision and a smile.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with De Edge Resort's standards and recipes.
- Interact engagingly with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, liquor, and garnishes.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene appropriately when necessary, adhering to responsible service guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and conducting regular stock counts.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen team members to ensure seamless service.
- Contribute to a positive and energetic work environment, upholding the resort’s reputation for excellent service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a reputable bar, restaurant, or hotel.
- Extensive knowledge of drink mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic beverages.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to food and beverage service.
- Excellent numeracy and cash handling abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
