Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely diagnostic services for various automotive issues.
- Execute comprehensive repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, electrical components, and other vehicle systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify potential problems and recommend necessary services.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair estimates, and technical explanations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Stay current with automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and specialized tools with proficiency and care.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and hours worked accurately.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and HVAC
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and equipment (scanners, oscilloscopes, multimeters)
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to ethical practices and customer satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certifications (e.g., A1-A8, L1)
- Experience with various makes and models of domestic and import vehicles
- Technical degree or vocational certificate in Automotive Technology
- Previous experience in a franchise auto repair environment
