Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Perform comprehensive bank and general ledger reconciliations regularly to maintain robust data integrity and identify any discrepancies proactively.
- Assist in the precise preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and various management reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including business units and treasury, to gather essential financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with internal and external audit preparations, providing necessary documentation, explanations, and supporting analysis.
- Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and system functionalities.
- Participate in special finance projects and initiatives as required, offering analytical support and insights.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience of at least 3 years (36 months) in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a significant advantage.
- Fluency in Swedish or another Nordic language.
- Prior experience with large-scale financial institutions or complex banking operations.
- Familiarity with financial regulatory frameworks in the Nordics.
