Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements, credit card transactions, and various general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including data entry and vendor/client communication.
  • Maintain organized and accessible financial records, both physical and digital, in compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and verify financial reports, statements, and summaries as required.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by providing necessary documentation and data.
  • Respond to financial inquiries from internal departments and external vendors/clients professionally.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits by gathering and organizing requested financial information.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in financial records and assist in their resolution.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Finance Clerk, Accounting Clerk, or in a similar financial role for at least 1 year.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation processes and software.
  • Certification in Bookkeeping or a related accounting discipline.
