Job Description
DP World Maputo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Officer (Oficial de Logística) to join our dynamic team for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation of goods.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment to various operational departments.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers.
- Oversee the preparation and processing of all required logistics documentation, including customs declarations, shipping manifests, and permits.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates on status and resolving any delays or issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
- Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies, international trade regulations, and local laws.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in logistics and supply chain operations.
- Prepare comprehensive logistics reports and analyses for management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, procurement) to ensure integrated and effective logistics solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, and regulatory changes in logistics and supply chain management.
- Ensure all logistics activities adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and local Mozambican logistics laws.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, in English and Portuguese.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with Tally, SAP, or other specific logistics management platforms.
