As a Night Attendant, you will be the primary point of contact for guests after dark, responsible for maintaining the security of the premises, handling late check-ins and early check-outs, and addressing any guest inquiries or emergencies that may arise. Key Responsibilities
- Perform late-night check-ins and early morning check-outs efficiently and courteously.
- Conduct regular security rounds of the hotel premises, including all floors, entrances, and common areas, to ensure guest safety and property security.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
- Handle all incoming phone calls, direct calls, and take messages accurately during the night shift.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, reporting any suspicious activities or incidents to management immediately.
- Perform light administrative tasks such as preparing daily reports, auditing guest accounts, and managing room inventory.
- Assist with basic cleaning and tidying of the reception area and common spaces as needed.
- Act as a first responder to any emergencies (medical, fire, security) following established hotel protocols.
- Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are adhered to by guests and staff during the night shift.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times, especially during challenging situations.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English fluency required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice inconsistencies or security concerns.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with hotel management software (PMS) or similar systems.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Customer service-oriented mindset and a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform security rounds for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6 months to 1 year) in a hotel or hospitality front desk/night audit role.
- A diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Knowledge of local area attractions and services in Lagos.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo) is a plus.
