Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and patient identification.
- Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication use, dosage, potential side effects, drug interactions, and storage.
- Offer professional advice on over-the-counter medications, health supplements, and general wellness products.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications to prevent shortages and waste.
- Ensure strict adherence to all pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription profiles.
- Monitor and review patient medication regimens for appropriateness and potential issues.
- Supervise pharmacy support staff, including pharmacy technicians and assistants.
- Participate in health promotion initiatives and community outreach programs.
- Handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree.
- Valid Pharmacist License from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Proven experience as a practicing Pharmacist in a retail or hospital setting.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, their uses, side effects, and interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
