Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Live-in Nanny to join our family in Agbowa, Ikorodu. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for two children aged 3 and 6, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Organize and supervise daily activities, including educational play, creative arts, outdoor adventures, and age-appropriate learning games.
  • Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary needs or preferences.
  • Assist with bath time, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene routines.
  • Manage children's laundry, ensuring their clothes are clean and organized.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment for the children, including tidying play areas, bedrooms, and common spaces used by the children.
  • Assist with homework and school projects for the older child.
  • Coordinate and accompany children to scheduled appointments, playdates, and extracurricular activities.
  • Implement consistent routines for meals, naps, and bedtime.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the children at all times.
  • Handle occasional errands related to children's needs, such as grocery shopping for their meals or picking up supplies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a nanny or childcare provider, specifically with young children (ages 2-7).
  • Strong understanding of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing disposition.
  • Ability to create a safe, stimulating, and loving environment.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and highly responsible.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prepare simple, healthy meals for children.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • SSCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Tertiary education in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience working in a private family setting.
  • Fluency in English and Yoruba.
  • Basic knowledge of child psychology.
  • References from previous childcare positions.
