Job Description
Are you a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Assistant looking for a unique and dynamic environment? As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing immediate, high-quality medical support and care to passengers, airport staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Assist medical professionals (Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics) in managing medical emergencies and routine medical care within the airport.
- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign monitoring, wound dressing, and personal care assistance as needed.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper stock levels.
- Escort patients to and from the medical station, and assist with their transfer to external medical facilities when required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting observations, treatments, and other relevant information.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical alarms and requests for assistance across the airport premises.
- Provide first aid services to passengers and staff in non-emergency situations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing supplies, and maintaining inventory.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and airport-specific security procedures.
- Offer compassionate support and clear communication to patients and their families during stressful situations.
Required Skills
- Certified Healthcare Assistant or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, clinic, or emergency medical setting.
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and first aid techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during emergency situations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining medical records and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an airport or high-traffic public environment.
- Knowledge of multiple languages.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
