Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of individual and corporate clients within the Isheri region, focusing on customer retention and expansion.
- Identify and onboard new high-net-worth clients and businesses, driving new revenue streams through proactive sales and marketing efforts.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' financial needs and objectives, offering customized banking products and services that align with their goals.
- Actively cross-sell and up-sell various bank products including loans, deposits, trade finance, digital banking solutions, and investment products.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing prompt, professional, and personalized service, resolving inquiries and issues efficiently.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, providing valuable insights to management.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, conduct financial analysis, and ensure adherence to the bank's lending policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams such as Credit, Operations, and Product Development to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and pipeline reports using the bank's CRM system.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in relationship management, sales, or business development within the banking or financial services industry.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse client segments.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive selling abilities, coupled with a results-oriented mindset.
- Solid understanding of banking products, services, and financial market dynamics.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, credit appraisal, and risk management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB).
- Existing network of high-net-worth individuals or corporate clients in the Lagos area.
- Experience with digital banking platforms and fintech solutions.
