Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large, complex datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust data models, algorithms, and analytical tools.
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis, identify trends, patterns, and correlations within operational and business data.
- Design and create interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to communicate key insights effectively.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to business stakeholders, supporting data-driven strategic and operational decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, geoscientists, commercial, and IT professionals, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Monitor data quality, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to enhance data governance and reliability.
- Support the continuous improvement of data analytics processes and methodologies.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including senior management.
- Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies for optimizing asset performance, reducing costs, and improving safety.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Expertise in at least one programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
- Proven experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning concepts.
- Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
