Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Manage all incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take accurate messages.
- Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications with precision, using the hotel's reservation system.
- Process payments, manage cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Provide comprehensive information to guests about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and transportation.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, restaurant) to ensure seamless guest service.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as mail distribution, key management, and daily reports.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including security protocols and emergency procedures.
Required Skills
- Fluent in French and at least one local language (e.g., Swahili, Tshiluba).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 1 year) in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
