As a Remote Finance Consultant, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing your client portfolio and schedule effectively from your home office, while benefiting from the robust training, technology, and support infrastructure of Edward Jones. You will conduct thorough financial analyses, present clear and actionable recommendations, and continuously monitor client portfolios to ensure alignment with their goals and market conditions. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with individual clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to understand client goals, risk tolerance, and current financial status.
  • Design and implement personalized financial plans covering investments, retirement, education, and estate planning.
  • Provide ongoing advice and guidance on investment strategies, market trends, and economic developments.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to FINRA, SEC, and internal compliance regulations.
  • Proactively identify and cultivate new client relationships through networking and referrals within the community.
  • Utilize CRM and financial planning software to manage client portfolios and documentation.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65) licenses are required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial advising, wealth management, or a related client-facing financial role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong proficiency with financial planning software and CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills to thrive in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
  • Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Experience with a diverse range of investment products and services.
  • Proven track record of success in business development and client acquisition.
  • Familiarity with the local market and community of Cottondale/Tuscaloosa area.
