Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into polished, broadcast-ready segments for various platforms and programs, adhering strictly to Channels Television's editorial guidelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, content creators, and journalists to understand project requirements, creative vision, and achieve desired outcomes.
- Perform professional color correction and grading to enhance visual quality, ensuring consistency and aesthetic appeal across all media content.
- Implement sound design, mixing, and audio enhancement techniques to create immersive and engaging auditory experiences that complement visual storytelling.
- Create and integrate compelling motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, and other visual effects to elevate the overall production value and clarity of information.
- Manage and organize all media assets, including footage, audio, graphics, and project files, ensuring efficient workflow, proper archiving, and easy retrieval.
- Stay abreast of the latest editing software, hardware, post-production techniques, and industry trends to continuously improve workflow and output quality.
- Meet tight deadlines consistently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity, and technical accuracy.
- Provide creative input and innovative solutions to enhance the final product, contributing to brainstorming and conceptualization sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to editing software, hardware, and broadcast delivery formats.
- Ensure all content is compliant with broadcast regulations and ethical journalistic practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard non-linear editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, compression techniques, and delivery specifications for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Exceptional storytelling abilities, with a keen sense of pacing, rhythm, visual composition, and narrative structure.
- Demonstrated experience with color correction/grading principles and sound design/mixing techniques.
