Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior Systems Engineers in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and virtualisation platforms.
- Monitor system performance and availability, identifying and responding to incidents in a timely manner.
- Provide first-level technical support for infrastructure-related issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Participate in documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Learn and apply best practices for IT security, data backup, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to solutions.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.
- Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system health.
Required Skills
- A strong interest in information technology and a foundational understanding of IT concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork and client interaction.
