Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Finance Analyst with a specialized focus on remote partnership management to join our dynamic finance team. This fully remote role is designed for a strategic thinker who can thrive in a collaborative virtual environment, supporting the financial health and strategic growth of our various partnership initiatives. As a Finance Analyst – Remote Partnership, you will be instrumental in analyzing financial performance, developing robust forecasts, and providing critical insights that guide our partnership strategies. You will work closely with business development, sales, and operational teams to evaluate potential partnerships, monitor existing agreements, and ensure financial objectives are met. This position requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders. You will be responsible for building financial models, conducting variance analysis, and preparing detailed reports to inform decision-making, ultimately contributing to Motion Industries’ continued market leadership and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate new partnership opportunities and analyze the performance of existing ones.
- Prepare detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses related to partnership revenues and costs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business development, sales, legal, and operations teams to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions concerning partnership agreements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist in contract review processes, specifically focusing on financial terms and implications.
- Identify and implement process improvements within financial reporting and analysis pertaining to partnerships.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant professional certification (CPA, CFA).
- Experience with financial analysis in a distribution, manufacturing, or B2B environment.
- Prior experience working with partnership agreements or M&A financial analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Experience working in a fully remote or hybrid work model previously.
