Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., reach truck, counterbalance, order picker) safely and efficiently after receiving appropriate training and certification.
- Load, unload, pick, put-away, and move products and materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Perform daily pre-operation safety checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts by correctly scanning and tracking product movements.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support general warehouse duties, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing shipments as required.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and truck drivers to ensure efficient operations.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or unsafe conditions.
- Assist with manual lifting of materials as needed, within safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Willingness to obtain or already possess a valid forklift operator certification (training will be provided)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures and equipment
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory management
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Experience with different types of material handling equipment
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or scanners
