Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Digital Marketer with a strong focus on SEO and digital campaigns to join our dynamic team in Ilebo, Kasai Province. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in enhancing Vodacom Congo’s online visibility, driving local engagement, and supporting regional marketing initiatives for our diverse range of products and services, including mobile data, voice, and M-Pesa. This position requires a blend of technical SEO expertise, creative campaign management, and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics within Ilebo and the broader Kasai Province.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our digital marketing strategies specifically tailored for the Ilebo region. This includes optimizing our online content for search engines to ensure maximum organic reach, running targeted digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, and analyzing performance data to refine future efforts. You will work closely with our regional sales and marketing teams to ensure digital efforts align with commercial objectives and contribute directly to subscriber growth and brand loyalty. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO audits, and link building, to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to Vodacom Congo's digital properties relevant to the Ilebo market.
- Plan, implement, and optimize digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads) targeting specific demographics and geographic areas within Ilebo and Kasai Province to promote new products, services, and promotions.
- Manage and maintain Vodacom Congo's local online presence, including listings, reviews, and local search optimization.
- Create engaging and relevant digital content (e.g., blog posts, social media updates, website copy) that resonates with the local audience and supports SEO and campaign objectives.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of all digital marketing activities using tools like Google Analytics, search console, and social media insights, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and digital marketing best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with regional sales, product development, and customer service teams to ensure integrated marketing efforts and consistent brand messaging.
- Identify opportunities for local digital partnerships and collaborations to expand reach and engagement.
- Manage digital marketing budgets for local campaigns, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing).
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz), Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Ads.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and/or Lingala (highly preferred).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in digital marketing, with a focus on SEO and campaign management.
