As our Social Media Manager, you will be the architect behind our clients’ digital conversations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies for assigned client accounts, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives and brand guidelines.
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written copy, and audio/podcasts) to ensure consistency in brand voice, message, and visual identity.
- Plan and execute integrated online marketing campaigns across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Monitor, listen to, and respond to users in a timely and 'Social' manner, actively cultivating leads, fostering community, and driving sales conversions.
- Conduct thorough social media audits, competitive analyses, and identify emerging trends and opportunities to continuously inform and refine strategy.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), generate detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize future social media activities and campaigns.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams (designers, content creators, analytics specialists) to ensure a cohesive brand presence and flawless campaign execution.
- Manage the social media advertising budget effectively, allocating resources for paid social campaigns to achieve maximum ROI.
- Stay relentlessly up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, platform changes, algorithm updates, and emerging digital technologies.
- Identify, vet, and engage with relevant influencers and key opinion leaders to amplify client brand messages and reach new audiences.
- Develop and implement robust crisis management protocols for social media to protect brand reputation.
Required Skills
- Proven work experience (minimum 3 years) as a Social Media Manager or in a similar digital marketing role.
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant social media platforms and best practices.
- Solid understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics, and foundational SEO principles.
- Hands-on experience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver creative and engaging content (text, image, video) with strong copywriting skills.
- Experience with audience identification, segmentation, and persona development.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in multitasking within a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in basic content creation software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite basics for quick edits).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Certification in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management (e.g., HubSpot, Google Digital Garage).
- Previous experience working in an advertising or digital marketing agency environment.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies on social media platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of local market trends, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior in Nigeria/Africa.
