Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational activities based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Te Whāriki curriculum.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.
- Observe and document children's learning and progress, contributing to portfolio development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and centre events.
- Provide respectful and nurturing care for children, including supervising play, assisting with routines (e.g., mealtimes, toileting), and managing behaviour positively.
- Collaborate with senior teachers to create inclusive and inspiring learning spaces.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or working towards one).
- Provisional or full teacher registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Familiarity with Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s early childhood curriculum.
