You will be responsible for maintaining the stability, integrity, and efficient performance of our in-house computer systems and networks, providing critical support to our staff, and ensuring compliance with the bank’s stringent IT policies and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and excellent problem-solving abilities. You will troubleshoot complex issues, implement new technologies, manage system upgrades, and safeguard our data assets against potential threats. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux-based operating systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
  • Monitor network performance (LAN/WAN), troubleshoot connectivity issues, and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures, including regular vulnerability assessments, patch management, and antivirus updates.
  • Manage and maintain data backup and recovery systems, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with central IT teams on larger projects, system deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank's IT governance frameworks and industry regulations.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration (2012 R2, 2016, 2019) and Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs) and network hardware configuration.
  • Experience with desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11) and common office applications.
  • Demonstrable experience in hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices (firewalls, anti-virus, intrusion detection).
  • Ability to perform data backup and recovery operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of banking specific applications or core banking systems.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell).
