Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, a leader in the construction and civil engineering sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect specializing in Design and Construction to join our dynamic team in Abuja. This pivotal role involves contributing to significant national infrastructure projects, including those within sensitive government environments such as the Nigerian Police Headquarters. The successful Architect will play a critical role in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management, working closely with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, structural engineers, and project managers. You will be tasked with preparing comprehensive architectural drawings, specifications, and schedules, ensuring compliance with local and international building codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of architectural projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and material selections using industry-standard software.
- Ensure all designs comply with Nigerian building codes, zoning regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including civil, structural, and MEP engineers to integrate all aspects of design.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Provide expert technical guidance and solutions to design and construction challenges.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and construction methodologies.
- Participate in tender processes, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other architectural design software.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction methods.

- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Experience in design and construction of security-sensitive facilities.
