Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, statements, and management accounts accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed insights and variances.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory filings and ensure compliance with relevant financial standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and provide analytical support for business decisions.
  • Process invoices, expenses, and payments, ensuring proper authorisation and coding.
  • Maintain financial records and documentation in an organised and accessible manner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and explanations.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to data privacy and security.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within financial services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Progress towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
