As a Remote Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. You will be responsible for a broad range of accounting activities, from processing invoices and managing accounts payable/receivable to assisting with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and presentations as required by management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, IFRS, and relevant tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records, both physical and digital.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
  • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Accountant, or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (IFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
