Job Description
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and highly experienced Household Driver for a senior executive and their family, based in Ebutte-Metta, Lagos. As a Household Driver, you will be entrusted with the daily transportation needs of the principal, including commuting to and from work, chauffeuring family members to appointments, school runs, social engagements, and errands. Beyond driving, you will be expected to maintain the vehicles in pristine condition, manage fuel levels, and handle minor maintenance checks. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport the principal and family members to various destinations, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in excellent working condition, ensuring cleanliness (interior and exterior), optimal fuel levels, and timely servicing.
- Perform routine vehicle checks (tyres, oil, water, lights, etc.) and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Plan optimal routes to avoid traffic congestion and ensure timely arrivals, utilizing navigation tools effectively.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, groceries, and other items as needed.
- Maintain a detailed logbook of journeys, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Handle household errands and deliveries as instructed.
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and flexibility to accommodate changing schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and discretion regarding all household and family matters.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and defensive driving practices.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a private household or corporate executive setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, alternative routes, and traffic patterns.
- Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
