Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and efficient Data Entry Officer to join our dynamic team at our Ebute-Metta, Lagos terminal. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input a high volume of data from various sources (e.g., physical documents, scanned forms, customer information, consignment notes) into our digital database and management systems.
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness, correcting errors and ensuring data integrity across all platforms.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for easy retrieval and secure storage of information.
  • Generate reports, summaries, and analyses from databases as requested by management and other departments.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, preparing documents, and managing office supplies inventory.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all company and customer data, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., operations, customer service) to ensure consistent data flow and information accuracy.
  • Respond efficiently to data-related queries from internal staff and provide necessary information or support.
  • Support the reconciliation of data discrepancies and assist in data cleanup projects when required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative role (minimum 1 year).
  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 40 Words Per Minute).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with data management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data handling.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive company information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An OND/HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Computer Science, Office Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with logistics or supply chain management software.
  • Previous experience working within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or other large database management tools.
