Are you a skilled and dedicated Bricklayer with a proven track record of excellence in on-site construction? C & C Construction Co Ltd is actively seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join our dynamic team in Oshodi, Oshodi-Isolo. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed individual who takes immense pride in their craftsmanship and possesses a deep understanding of construction best practices.
As an Experienced Bricklayer, you will be instrumental in laying bricks, blocks, and other construction materials to construct or repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures in accordance with blueprints and specifications. Your work will directly contribute to the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of our projects. We are looking for someone who is not only proficient with various bricklaying techniques and tools but also possesses a keen eye for detail, ensuring precision and quality in every course laid. Key Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other building materials to construct or repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
- Measure and cut bricks or blocks to the required size, using hand and power tools.
- Mix mortar and other compounds, ensuring correct consistency for optimal adhesion.
- Ensure alignment, spacing, and uniformity of bricks/blocks, maintaining plumb and level.
- Work safely and efficiently, adhering strictly to all site safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction professionals, including carpenters, concrete workers, and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or structural issues on site.
- Perform general labour duties as required to support the construction process.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable proficiency in bricklaying and blocklaying techniques.
- Extensive experience with various types of bricks, blocks, and construction materials.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Skilled in using traditional and power tools associated with bricklaying (trowels, levels, hammers, saws, mixers).
- Strong understanding and adherence to construction site safety procedures.
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Trade test certification in Bricklaying or Masonry.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or residential projects.
- Basic knowledge of other construction trades (e.g., plastering, tiling).
- Ability to train and mentor junior bricklayers or apprentices.
- Valid first aid certification is a plus.
