Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and management of project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Support the Project Manager in overseeing project budgets, tracking costs, and managing variations.
  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Help prepare and review project documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications.
  • Participate in site visits and meetings, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks, proposing effective solutions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.
  • Contribute to ensuring project quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven interest in the construction industry, evidenced by academic projects, internships, or work experience (minimum 12 months in a related role).
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, methodologies, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
  • Awareness of NEC/JCT contracts.
  • CSCS card.
  • Experience assisting with tender processes or bid documentation.
