Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
- Support the Project Manager in overseeing project budgets, tracking costs, and managing variations.
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.
- Help prepare and review project documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications.
- Participate in site visits and meetings, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks, proposing effective solutions.
- Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.
- Contribute to ensuring project quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven interest in the construction industry, evidenced by academic projects, internships, or work experience (minimum 12 months in a related role).
- Strong understanding of construction principles, methodologies, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
- Awareness of NEC/JCT contracts.
- CSCS card.
- Experience assisting with tender processes or bid documentation.
