This position involves performing a wide range of masonry and concrete work on various projects, including commercial buildings, residential complexes, and vital infrastructure developments that contribute to the growth of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Your day-to-day tasks will be diverse, requiring expert application of traditional masonry techniques alongside modern construction practices. You will also be tasked with repairing and restoring existing masonry structures, patching holes, grinding, and pointing, all while adhering strictly to architectural drawings and project specifications.
Interpreting blueprints, calculating precise material requirements, and effectively managing your workspace to ensure efficiency and safety are critical aspects of this role. You will operate various hand and power tools safely and competently, maintaining them in good working order. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with other skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, as well as site supervisors and project managers. Your ability to communicate effectively and contribute positively to a team environment will be highly valued. We uphold stringent safety protocols on all our sites, and your adherence to these, along with your proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards, is paramount. EGMF values individuals who take immense pride in their work, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, and are proactive in identifying and resolving potential issues. This is an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to significant, high-impact projects that directly uplift communities and fuel the economic development of the region. If you possess a solid background in masonry, a robust work ethic, and are eager to be part of a leading construction firm in the DRC, we strongly encourage you to apply.
